A seasoned professional with 33 years experience in commercial real estate, John Johannson is accomplished in all areas of the industry, including development, brokerage, sales, finance, and construction.  ​ His diligence and extensive knowledge of the marketplace have resulted in the sale or leasing of over 16 million square feet of retail/commercial  space since 1990, and in the sale or purchase of over 500 acres of commercial land. ​ John and the Transwestern team represent institutional owners with a leased and managed portfolio of approximately three million square feet. John is also active in the investment sales sector, having been involved in the sale of approximately 20 shopping centers exceeding 3.5 million square feet. ​ In partnership with CSM Corporation, John recently completed the development of Phase I of Central Park Commons in Eagan, Minnesota.  Central Park Commons is a 450,000 square foot project consisting of retail, office, and medical uses. ​ Additionally, John is the principal, owner, and developer of a retail portfolio of roughly 1.4 million square feet. The properties are located throughout the Twin Cities metro area and in the California central valley. Including the currently owned portfolio, John has developed roughly 4.5 million square feet of owned retail space.
