As a Real Estate Manager at Transwestern, Casey manages a wide variety of real estate assets. He has experience with many different asset types but his main focus is with retail properties.
Casey’s primary assignments consist of managing an all-retail portfolio, where he is responsible for the day to day operations including tenant coordination, capital improvements, vendor/contractor bidding and supervision, financial reporting, landlord/tenant build-outs, lease compliance, CAM and real estate tax reconciliations as well as managing budgets and operating costs.
Before joining Transwestern, he worked at Colliers and began his career working for Ohio based REIT SITE Centers Corp. (Formerly DDR Corporation). Casey started his career as a Facility Manager and worked his way up to a Property Manager. As a Property Manager, Casey is directly responsible for overseeing the operations of our Minnesota portfolio which included three retail power centers in the Twin Cities market of approximately 1.8 million square feet. Along with overseeing the Minnesota portfolio, I assisted with the Property Management teams in the Milwaukee and Chicago Markets.
In addition to my experience in retail property management, I have an extensive amount of education in Property Management. I attended the University of Wisconsin – Stout and graduated with a bachelor’s Degree in business and with an Associate degree in Real Estate Property Management. While obtaining my degrees, I was an active member of the IREM Student Organization and obtained experience through internships with Mortenson Construction (Golden Valley, MN) and Continental Management (Bingham Farms, MI) all prior to graduating in 2014.
