As an Associate of Transwestern, Janet Olson specializes in all areas of retail real estate.  In her 20 years in this role, she has worked closely with landlords, retailers, and developers with their retail needs in the Twin Cities.

Janet specializes in landlord representation, performing due diligence in parcel acquisitions, and locating the right tenants to fill shopping centers.  She has worked on big box centers, grocery anchored developments, and neighborhood centers.

​

Janet works closely with one of the top retail brokers in the industry, and through that relationship has helped to coordinate site selection information for several national retailers such as Home Depot, Kohl’s, Men’s Warehouse, Best Buy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Caribou Coffee.

She has also personally performed site selection for retailers such as Best Buy Mobile and Device Pitstop in the Twin Cities.

Janet began her real estate career in 1990 at a locally owned company that specialized in both commercial and residential properties. Her duties ranged from overseeing the on-site management of their residential communities, to managing the collections department for all of their commercial and residential properties.

Her wide ranging experience in the real estate field has prepared Janet for working with both landlords and tenants in any type of transaction.
